Ork Tanka re-visited

So I pulled my Battlewagons out today to see if they'd need any fixing up. I've heard that deff rollas have been nerfed a bit, so I may yank the one with one off. Guess I gotta wait for the codex to see though. I was never a big BWR guy, and much more preferred green tide lists, but I do need to get my MANS across the field safely some way.

I had the idea to to a Road Warrior style gas tanker a while back, found some dude who pulled it off flawlessly online, and instead went with my own Orky version of one. A buddy helped with the barb wire on the sides (damn rival biker Clans stealin' our petrol boss!) and I added some textured paint to the tank. Gotta replace some of those rivets with some smaller ones too. I plan on putting some Ork graffiti on the side of the tank too, maybe something like Orxxon or ConORKo will work...

Nice! That is a fantastic build, man!

Excellent build and lovely texture on the tank. Might I suggest that the door on the cab is a bit large and flat? Perhaps some battle damage of rusty texture would help bring it in line with the rest of the Battlewagon.

Cheers
Dave

Could you provide some detail on how you built the tank?

Thanks for the kind words fellas!

Dave - Thanks! I definitely have to still weather and battle damage her. I was thinking of painting that Rhino door a different color underneath too, to show that they'd looted it a long time ago.

I used a piece of PVC pipe for the tank. It fit in the bed pretty easily once I built the wagon frame. The sides are plasticard metal siding, and will be painted up like some old roofing they used to build up the armor. The barbed wire slats are from old sprues.
